Svaroopa® yoga... what does that mean? What type of yoga is this? Translated as "the knowing of your own Divine essence", Svaroopa® follows the paradigm "Support Equals Release". Targeting and releasing tension in the core muscles surrounding the spine takes place in every Svaroopa® yoga class. Utilizing props such as blankets, blocks and straps, each student is meticulously aligned into every pose by a teacher who has hundreds of training hours and experience. Rather than emphasizing the external pose, you are provided with an inner experience which may be pain relief, stress relief and even bliss.

Svaroopa® Yoga uses traditional poses in non-traditional ways. Svaroopa® Yoga practices untangle the deep internal tensions in your body, unraveling your mental and emotional patterns simultaneously. Beginning with the tailbone, each class uses the asanas (poses) to create openings all the way up the spine. These openings increase flexibility, reduce tension, build strength and stamina, and quiet the mind.
